Buried Treasure

Another week, another paint-related activity involving the whole family. Something I’ve been wanting to do for ages, just had to wait for the right time to do it.

I think it was literally the day we signed the contract that I came up with the idea to bury a keepsake beneath the floors, either to be uncovered by future generations or to be put to rest forever. Originally I wanted to do a sort of time capsule with small trinkets and souvenirs; ultimately we decided on something a bit more sleek and colourful.

Red, blue and, of course, the traditional Heather Plum and Wishing Well.

The paper's laminated, obviously. I reckon it will be buried in the coming weeks, and it shall go right in the heart of the living room. I’m already picturing cosy movie nights by the fireplace with it right there among us.
